My Michael Kors Watch

As my sister mentioned in a previous post, I was abroad for the past few weeks and now I'm back! I thought I would I dedicate this blog post to my latest purchase from abroad which is the Michael Kors watch (MK5538) I have been itching to get my hands on a Michael Kors watch for ages! And finally I caved and purchased one. I am absolutely in love with this watch! Seriously I can't stop looking at it!

The watch is encased in a beautiful rose gold exterior which I absolutely love as it gives that beautiful luxurious look to the watch. The two rows of crystals surrounding the watch face makes it even more glamorous. Also the strap has a tortoise shell pattern running throughout the middle which gives an added edge - something a little different to what I would normally go for. It is water resistant and has a small stopwatch dial gives it a very intricate, sophisticated look. Seeing as it a Michael Kors watch, it definitely does not come cheap, however if you are really into your watches like me, then it is definetely an investment worth making.

It was so hard to choose the perfect watch for myself as almost all the Michael Kors watches caught my eye, but this particular watch is the one that stood out to me. Let us know what you think of this watch and if you have a Michael Kors watch also, which one do you have?xxx

Best Affordable Brushes

They can only be the much raved about Real Techniques brushes. Yes, I know we are very 'late to the bandwagon' with this product but seriously these brushes have been raved about so much all over youtube and blogs and we just sort of didn't give in to the hype. We always did say ONE DAY we would purchase these brushes and so it happened and oh boy do we love them! We haven't stopped using them since. So if you are thinking of purchasing the Real Techniques brushes then hopefully this will be useful for you.

The Real Techniques brushes are designed by the makeup artist Samantha chapman, also known as Pixiwoo on youtube. They have quite a few brush collections out but we thought we'd go for the core collection which comes with four brushes: the buffing brush, contour brush, pointed foundation brush and detailer brush. It also comes with an handy case which we find very useful for carrying around.

These brushes are affordable, quality brushes which are surprisingly very light which we like and have ultra soft fibres which I find is the key to good quality brushes because brushes which are rough, tend to irritate our skin, since we both do have sensitive skin. Does that happen to any of you guys too?

Buffing brush
From the whole collection I must say that we both agree, hands down this is our favourite brush and I am pretty sure alot of people would agree. This brush is so versatile as you can use it for multiple products but mainly we use it to apply our foundation seeing as it applies it so well, making it seamless with the skin and no streak marks! I've noticed this brush doesn't use up too much product like other brushes do and so you aren't wasting any product. Also i find it good to apply blusher and bronzer to the cheeks.

Contour brush
From the moment we had purchased these brushes I have been using this particular brush for contouring pretty much all the time! The brush head is just the right size to fit into the hollows of your cheek and it picks up the right amount of product. So if you are looking for a good contour brush I would definitely pick up this one.

Pointed foundation brush
This brush I particularly wasn't a fan of applying foundation with - even though the name suggest it is a foundation brush - just because I found it harder to blend in the product however I do find it is a good brush for concealer, you could use it under the eyes as the brush isn't too big.

Detailer brush
Now this brush is tiny. Trust me it is very small! Initially we thought it would be a good eyeshadow brush but we much prefer to use it as a concealer brush to cover up those precious pimples! The brush head is the perfect size to pinpoint any blemishes you want to cover up and also you could use it to conceal under the eyes.

Seriously we can not express how much we love these brushes! Whats even more great is that they are very affordable and you can purchase them from you nearest drugstore. They retail for £21.99 (at boots)

Have you guys tried out these brushes or are you thinking of purchasing them? Let us know your opinions on these brushes in the comments because we would love to know! xxx

La Roche Posay Melt In Cream Review

If you are living in the UK you may know that we are finally seeing some sun around here and for anyone else around the world who is getting plenty of sun, you know that it is essential to whip out that Spf. An important fact to know is that we should technically be wearing Spf in any type of weather because we are always constantly being exposed to harmful UVA and UVB rays, regardless of our skin type or colour.

Quite recently we had purchased the La roche posay Anthelios XL melt in cream Spf 50+. After hearing such positive reviews on other blogs and youtube videos on La roche posay products, we decided to give this product a go with high hopes in mind.

After a good few trials of this sunscreen, I personally wouldn't say I absolutely love this product but then again I don't hate it either, its a kind of love-hate relationship with this one and heres why. Once initially applying it to the skin it is very creamy in texture which is what I really enjoyed about it, but...theres always got to be a 'but'...once you get to that last point of rubbing it into the skin, it starts to feel quite chalky and not as smooth on the skin as I thought it would have been. I don't quite know how to explain this in words but it almost feels quite rubbery towards the end which is pretty odd for a cream formula Spf. Also to take into account that it does leave a slight white cast on the face but I've seen that this is soon solved after 10-15 minutes of applying it as it does literally melt into the skin!

Anyways moving on to the positive note of things, what I really like about this product is that it doesn't leave your face looking like a greasy mess! If you guys know why I mean by this you'll know that quite a lot of sunscreens out there tend to leave a shiny veil all over your face which is really not an attractive sight especially when the sun is out and you're feeling super hot! Another thing which gives this product a thumbs up is that it isn't drying on the skin and so its great for those of you with dry skin. Also it is non-comedogenic and free of any parabens.

So overall I would say it is up to personal preference and what your skin likes, so if you guys do try this out, do share your thoughts on this product in the comments because we'd love to know what your opinions are! xxx

Exam Free!

We have to admit we have been away from the blog and pretty much all our social media for quite a while. Well it feels like ages to us anyway! This was due to being so tied down with university, exams and also the fact that my parents, elder sister and brother are abroad at the moment! So lucky.

After weeks of revision and sleep deprivation, now I can happily say that I am officially exam free!! :) .... Well for the time being anyway. Seriously, it is such a good feeling, I'm sure a lot of you guys can relate to it. First thing I want to do tonight is get a good nights sleep, because trust me I need it lol. Hopefully since now we do have a lot more time on our hands, we are hoping to keep the blog updated and also try to improve the blog since we are sort of still beginners to the whole blogging journey.

Have any of you guys recently just finished exams or are just nearing the end of the daunting exam season? Then let us know what you like to do as a way to relax after exams because we'd love to know! xx
